End-User License Agreement

Effective Date: May 2, 2026

1. License Grant

SoundKit grants you a personal, non-commercial, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the audio plugins generated through the SoundKit platform.

This license is granted solely for personal music production, sound design, and audio experimentation. "Personal use" means use in your own music projects, demos, recordings, and creative work — plugins may be used in tracks you release commercially (e.g., a song made with the plugin), but the plugin itself cannot be sold or distributed.

This license is subject to your compliance with the Terms of Service and this EULA.

Your use of the SoundKit platform is governed by our Terms of Service at /terms.

2. Restrictions

You may NOT:

- Sell, sublicense, lease, rent, or commercially distribute any plugin generated through SoundKit

  • Redistribute plugins to third parties outside of the SoundKit Community Board
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of any plugin
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from the compiled plugin binary (note: remixing via the Community Board is permitted — this restriction applies to the compiled binary file only)
  • Use plugins to develop, train, or benchmark a competing audio plugin generation service
  • Remove or alter any license notices, metadata, or attribution embedded in plugins
  • Claim that a plugin was not generated by AI or misrepresent its origin

3. Ownership & Intellectual Property

You own the creative design of your plugin — the concept, parameter choices, effect behavior, and visual design you specified during creation.

SoundKit retains all rights to its platform, AI models, compilation infrastructure, code templates, and underlying technology.

The compiled plugin binary contains components generated by SoundKit's systems — your ownership is of the creative output, not the underlying code generation technology.

SoundKit does not claim ownership of your plugins and will not use your compiled plugin binaries for any purpose other than delivering them to you.

4. AI-Generated Software Disclaimer

Plugins generated through SoundKit are created by artificial intelligence systems. The quality, behavior, and compatibility of AI-generated plugins may vary.

SoundKit does not manually review or test individual plugin builds.

You are solely responsible for testing any plugin before use in a professional, live, or production context.

AI-generated plugins may produce unexpected audio output, including silence, distortion, or loud signals — always use appropriate volume levels and monitoring when testing new plugins.

SoundKit is not responsible for any damage to audio equipment, hearing, or audio projects resulting from plugin use.

5. Community Board Plugins

This EULA applies equally to plugins you download from the SoundKit Community Board.

By downloading a shared plugin, you receive the same personal-use license described in Section 1.

The original plugin creator grants this license by sharing to the Community Board — you may not expand, sublicense, or transfer this license.

You may not sell, redistribute, or commercially distribute Community Board plugins.

6. No Warranty

PLUGINS ARE PROVIDED "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

SOUNDKIT MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT PLUGINS WILL BE FREE OF BUGS, ERRORS, OR DEFECTS, THAT THEY WILL FUNCTION IN ANY PARTICULAR DIGITAL AUDIO WORKSTATION (DAW), OR THAT THEY WILL PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR AUDIO QUALITY OR RESULT.

SOUNDKIT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT PLUGINS WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM, HARDWARE, OR SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION.

YOU ASSUME ALL RISK ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF GENERATED PLUGINS.

For users in the United Kingdom: Statutory rights under consumer protection laws are not affected by this disclaimer.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOUNDKIT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF GENERATED PLUGINS.

This includes but is not limited to: damage to audio equipment, hearing damage from unexpected output levels, corrupted audio projects, lost recordings, or DAW crashes caused by plugin use.

SOUNDKIT'S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO GENERATED PLUGINS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF £100 OR THE TOTAL FEES PAID BY YOU IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Nothing in this EULA excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Termination of License

Your plugin license remains active for as long as your SoundKit account is in good standing.

The license terminates automatically if:

- You delete your SoundKit account (after the 30-day grace period)

  • SoundKit terminates your account for violation of the Terms of Service
  • You breach any term of this EULA

Upon termination: you are no longer authorized to use, copy, or distribute the plugins, but SoundKit will not take technical measures to disable already-downloaded plugins.

Sections that survive termination: No Warranty (Section 6), Limitation of Liability (Section 7), Governing Law (Section 10).

9. Updates & Modifications

SoundKit may update this EULA from time to time.

Material changes will be communicated via email to your registered email address.

Continued download or use of plugins after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised EULA.

If you disagree with changes, your remedy is to stop downloading new plugins (existing plugins remain licensed under the EULA version in effect at time of download).

10. Governing Law & Disputes

This EULA is governed by the same laws and dispute resolution procedures as the Terms of Service.
